Fondazione E. Mach - Istituto Agrario S.Michele a-A
Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige, founded in 1874, is an entity that carries out scientific research, education and training, as well as experimentation, consulting and services to businesses, agriculture, agri-food and the environment. Its management is inspired by efficiency, cost and transparency criteria, and the Institute does not pursuit profit.
Since 2008, the Edmund Mach Foundation has continued to pursue the goals and activities of Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige, founded by the Diet of Innsbruck in 12 January, 1874, and the Alpine Ecology Centre.
It owns a farm of about 900 hectares, mainly covered by orchards and vineyards. Grapes are processed in the Institute’s own cellar, which produces different types of wines, spumanti and distillates.
