Strada del Vino
Trentino chestnut
The oval-shaped, brown fruit has a large stellar ray and ridged spines.
The pulp of the seed is white slightly tending towards yellow, crunchy and pleasingly sweet, and an almost groove-free surface.
They are hand picked from the first days of October, after waiting for the chestnuts to fall to the ground as they ripen. The first records of chestnut cultivations in Trentino date back to the end of the 16th century.
