Mountain char is a freshwater fish with unique organoleptic qualities, and has a slim and slightly compressed side shape. It is similar to trout although its body is rounder and its head is larger. Its colouring tends towards brown or silver grey on the back, with lighter sides with roundish spots and a white belly. Recent scientific studies have shown that char is a healthy and digestible product, rich in protein and essential amino acids.

Thanks to its content of polyunsaturated fats (including Omega 3), it is excellent for a well-balanced and healthy diet by preventing cardiovascular disease. It is also indicated for better brain development and is therefore highly recommended for children.
